Ronald Dion DeSantis was born in Jacksonville, Florida, on September 14, 1978, to Karen (née Rogers) and Ronald Daniel DeSantis. He is of Italian descent because his great-great-grandmother and great-great-grandfather were both born in Italy. His great-great-grandfather, Salvatore Storti, immigrated to the United States in 1904 and settled in Pennsylvania.
Since 2019, he has served as Florida’s 46th governor.
