Goodloe Sutton was born in 1939 in Linden, Alabama, USA. He is a Former American Journalist, Publisher, and Owner of The Democrat-Reporter, who recently became the focus of national attention after he wrote and published an op-ed suggesting the Ku Klux Klan be revived to ‘clean out’ Democrats in Washington, D.C, and Democrats, who are plotting to raise taxes in Alabama.
On Monday, the Journalist confirmed to the Montgomery Advertiser that he authored the Feb. 14 editorial calling for the return of White Supremacist hate group. Furthermore, Sutton suggesting lynching when he was asked to elaborate about ‘cleaning up D.C’ phrase.

Goodloe was initially working as the editor of school’s student newspaper, Student Printz and after marriage with Jean Rodgers, the couples founded and owned several local newspapers in Thomasville, Demopolis, Sumter County, Camden, and Alabama. When we look at the family background of the editor, his father had bought Democrat-Reporter Newspaper in 1917 and was an editor. Later in 1964, Sutton purchased the Democrat-Reporter from his father, taking over as editor and publisher. Moreover, his wife also joined his business as an investigative reporter for the paper.
In 1998, he published a series of articles that exposed corruption in the Marengo County Sheriff’s Office and was widely celebrated. The Published also received numerous awards and commendations for Journalism and was also suggested as a candidate for Pulitzer Prize. However, with the publishing of his recent article on February 14, 2019, calling for the return of the White Supremacist hate group, he became the focus of national attention.
