Tanvi Marwaha is a Retired Indian Airforce Helicopter Pilot and a former IAF Squadron Leader, known for being the wife of Indian IAF Pilot & Wing Commander, Abhinandan Varthaman. Currently, she is working as DGM for Reliance JIO. Tanvi has served in the Indian Air Force for over 15 years and in 2018, she was retired from the service as a Helicopter pilot.

Abhinandan serves on the Line of Control (LOC) border from February 2019, after the Pulwama attack. One of the tragic events which occurred at the start of 2019 is the Pulwama attack in India that took lives of 40 CRPF Indian officers. Following the tragic event, the whole nation was very gloomy state and was somewhat helpless with the loss of soldiers. In fact, India was looking for revenge with an attack against terrorists.

Finally, on February 26, 2019, the Indian pilots flew Miraj 2000 fighter jets and targeted the terror groups of Balakot territory. Within a short span of time, the Indian Air Force successfully made an air strike by killing over 350 terrorists.
However, after the air strike, Varthaman goes for around the next day and there he finds Pakistan’s M-16 jets entering Indian Territory. Immediately he decides to destroy to jet by firing at it. But, the IAF pilot does not realize that he crosses LOC. Later his fighter jet crashes and he was taken by Pakistan army. Within a few days of his capture, the Indian Government somehow managed to get him back to India on March 2, 2019, through Wagha Border area.
