Annie Donaldson is an American lawyer and was the Chief of staff to former White counsel Don McGahn. She recently defied the Judiciary panels subpoena to testify about special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe.

On May 21, 2019, The House Judiciary committee had issued subpoenas to former White House Communications Director, Hope Hicks, and Donaldson. According to the New York Times report, Brett Talley’s spouse, Ann Donaldson was recently interviewed by the investigators from the special counsel of Mr.Mullers team as a part of the investigation into Russia’s interference in the Presidential elections.

Some of the sources told the Newspaper that the Investigators had talked to Annie about her detailed notes taken during concessions with Don McGahn on topics like Comey’s fire. Moreover, Mueller is trying to investigate whether Trump tried to obstruct the justice Department’s Russia investigation before.

However, according to the Times report, Ann is said to have limited interaction with Trump, but later she spoke to McGahn after he met with the President and took notes, which has been provided to the Special Counsel’s office.

She became the Campaign Manager for the Massachusetts Republican Party in 2004. Later she moved under Mitt Romney and worked as a senior operations coordinator for the office of Governor of Massachusetts (2005-07).

In 2008, Donaldson was a part of Romney’s campaign wherein she worked as assistant director of operations and also served as an associate counsel in 2012 along with her husband, Brett Talley who also worked as a speechwriter for Romney campaign.

Before she joined the White House as deputy counsel to the President in early 2017, she had worked at law firm Patton Boggs LLP (2011-2014) as an associate, according to her LinkedIn profile. Recently, she left her position as Deputy Counsel in December 2018 and presently working as a partner in Luther strange & Associates.
