Areline Martínez was 20 years old Mexican woman who was accidentally shot by her friend while filming a fake kidnap prank, in the video, she was blindfolded with her hands and ankles bound at a small farm home in the Chihuahua neighborhood of Rigoberto Quiroz.

This incident took place on Friday, she lost her life for the TikTok video, last week Areline Martínez with among others planned to film a faked kidnapping for social media where the people pretending to abduct her.

The whole kidnap was recorded and Areline staged kidnapping with friends at a home in Chihuahua when two males in the group fired their guns and the group fled the scene after she was shot dead.

Before she was shot dead, in the video Areline was seen sitting next to a young man who played the role of a hostage and another man playfully attacked the pair. However, one of the Guy was waving AR Gun at the pair, and few seconds before she was shot dead another a forced male hostage onto his knees on the dirt pavement while the gun is pointed at the back of his head.

According to the Chihuahua state prosecutor’s office, 10 people present the moment Martínez was shot called the police to report the incident.

Who is Areline Martínez?

Previously, she made similar videos such as feigning a kidnapping, which she had posted to social media. On Instagram, she boasts 4.3k followers and her last post was on October 2nd.

She shared a picture of herself and wrote “Time is ticking, neither do I.”

Many family members and friends tributed her on social media and a Facebook page set up in Martínez’s memory. “Waking up and finding this news breaks my heart; rest in peace, beautiful, you will always shine wherever you are, Areline Martínez,” was just one of the countless posts from friends and family.

Her friend Yenny tributed her on Facebook, she wrote “Rest in peace my chula werita, we will miss your smile, your charisma, it’s not goodbye my Wera, it’s a see you soon, then we’ll see you up there!!,” and added, “Of so many friends you had, we were only loyal, as I told you once: To the end with loyalists and watch here we walk to the fullest.”
