However, Scott Amey, general counsel for the nonpartisan group Project on Government Oversight said that “The fireworks companies have reportedly lobbied against tariffs, and they could be using the Trump administration’s celebration to better their business opportunities.”

This is not the first time Zoldan has donated in 2016 he made a $5,400 donation to Hilary Clinton’s 2016 campaign and also donated to Ohio Representative Tim Ryan. Later, he contributed $632 to Barack Obama’s inaugural fund in the year 2018.

Earlier, on May 22, 2019, Zoldan and several other business executives met with President Trump and lobbied Trump about Chinese Tariffs.

Zoldan started his career in fireworks at the age of 15 and he used to sell fireworks in Ohio. Although fireworks were illegal in Ohio back in the 1960s he used to make $100 profit. His father gave him $100 worth of fireworks he bought in neighboring Pennsylvania and sold it to friends and family members.

Later, he started his own company called B.J. Alan Company that distributes Fireworks. In an Interview, he told that his companies sell about $100 million in fireworks annually.
