Darrell Lamont Scott is the brother of Little Rock, Arkansas Mayor Frank Scott Jr, according to the report he was arrested for kidnapping two kids and he even stole a vehicle with kids inside then called the victims’ parents from the victims’ phone saying “Don’t worry, I’m the mayor’s brother”.

Darrell is 31 years old man and this incident took place in Baptist Hospital where the car was parked, Police found the car parked at McCain Mall with Scott inside and Darrell is being charged with three felonies, two counts of kidnapping and one count of theft.

Later, the authorities reported that the children were found safe and Little Rock Police spokesperson said the car was running and parked at Baptist Hospital when Scott allegedly stole the vehicle. In a statement Little Rock, Arkansas Mayor Frank Scott Jr told KATV he says his heart goes out to the children involved and calls this an “extremely difficult season” in his younger brother’s life and asks for privacy during this time.”

Frank Scott Jr said in a statement “This is an extremely difficult season in the life of my younger brother. My family cares deeply about him, and we are seeking medical and professional help as he manages this crisis. My heart goes out to the children who were involved. While my life, in many regards, is public, my family members remain private individuals. I ask that you respect my family’s privacy and pray that my brother gets the treatment he needs and that justice is served.”

Frank Scott Jr is an American politician from the state of Arkansas and was elected as Little Rock’s first-ever Black mayor in 2018, defeating Baker Kurrus in a runoff election and taking the office at the age of 35.
