Dave Portnoy’s video has been viewed 900k times on Twitter and ended the video “So while on the outside, yeah, no-brainer noble cause, I don’t think really people thought it out. It is just like a quick, ‘Hey, I support Black Lives Matter. I put up a black box. I’m doing my part,’ but you’re really doing nothing. And I don’t think it’s intentional and I don’t even know that I’m right. But I think people need information.”

Dave Portnoy is a Businessman, Entrepreneur, and founder of Barstool Sports, where its a sports and pop culture blog founded in the year 2003, and the two primary investors are The Chernin Group and Penn National Gaming, is currently headquartered in New York City.

In 2003, it first launched as a print publication and was distributed in the Boston metropolitan area offering gambling advertisements and fantasy sports projections. However, the comapny expanded to other topics as well and launched itself to the Digital in 2007.

Then, on July 19, 2016, Erika Nardini, former chief marketing officer of AOL, was announced as the CEO of Barstool Sports. On January 29, 2020, it was announced that Penn National Gaming had purchased a 36% stake in Barstool Sports for $163 million, giving the company a valuation of $450 million.

During the COVID-19 lockdown, Dave tired his luck on Day Trading but he lost about $647k, he deposited $3 Million into an E-Trade account and he even live-streamed his daily trading activities on Twitter account. Initially, he lost about $200k but on April 17th the loss increased to $740k. However, by the end of the trading on April 20th, he managed to recoup about $93k and his current loss is about $647k.

Apart from this, Dave has Pizza reviewing show called “One Bite with Davey Pageviews” and many celebrities also appeared on the show and also runs the Radio show named “Stocks Central.”

In October 2019, Dave donated $20,000 to Penn State’s annual IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon, which raises money for pediatric cancer research and treatment and also raised money after Boston Marathon bombings, animal welfare, and Veteran’s Day.
