Eric Birighitti was 21 years old and was a soccer player with St. Thomas Aquinas College in New York. Last Thursday he went missing at Twilight Beach in Esperance, after he had been swimming with friends at the beach.
But he was found dead and according to the source he was attacked by Shark on January 2 and when Birighitti’s body was found, sharks were spotting in the water and were attacking the corpse. One witness, Alison Walker, told the station, “My sister and my father saw the sharks attacking the body. And it was quite a big one, they say.”
Eric was a promising athlete who’d earned a soccer scholarship in the US. Later, Hastings College in Nebraska posted a tribute to 21-year-old Eric Birighitti after his body was recovered from waters off Twilight Beach in Esperance on Tuesday.

On January 2, he was with this friends at Twilight Beach, 720km southeast of Perth and he was swept off rocks shortly after 4 pm, Eric’s friend tried to help but they couldn’t help and according to police “He got into difficulties and was thrown a life preserver however the swell has taken him out of view of his friends.”
After five days he body was recovered when the spotted attacking the corpse in the water, witnesses tell to 9 News Perth.

Mr. Birighitti was a promising athlete with a scholarship to play soccer at Hastings College in Nebraska and St Thomas Aquinas College in New York. In winning the 2016 NAIA Championship, Birighitti had the assist for Lucas Venegas’ game-winning goal for Hastings over the Rio Grande from Ohio.
His last Instagram was on December 25, 2019, he wished everyone Merry Christmas and wrote “Merry Christmas everyone! As we finish off 2019, I hope everybody finds peace and is filled with love as the new year begins. Shout out to all those who cannot be with us for whatever reason. Remember to love always, be appreciative and smile.”
