Jacob Nix aka Jacob James Nix was born on January 9, 1996, and from Los Alamitos, California. He is an American professional baseball pitcher for the San Diego Padres of Major League Baseball (MLB). Recently, he is charged with criminal trespassing after he broke into an Arizona home at 3.30 am through the DOGGIE DOOR and was kicked and tased by the homeowner.

On October 6, he was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing for breaking into a residence in Peoria, Arizona. It was around 3.30 am he entered a home near 91st Avenue and Beardsley Road through the doggie door and an unidentified homeowner then confronted Nix and kicked him in the face.

According to the report, he along with his friend Thomas Cosgrove tried to run the homeowner leaned out of the doggie door and deployed his Taser, hitting Nix in the back, according to court records.

Later, he signed with the Padres, receiving a $900,000 signing bonus and was assigned to the AZL Padres, where he spent the whole season, pitching to a 0–2 record with a 5.49 ERA in seven games and made his MLB debut in 2018. In March 2019, Nix suffered a tear in his ulnar collateral ligament of the elbow and elected to rehab the injury and forgo surgery.
