Jeff Fenholt aka Jeffrey Craig was born on September 15, 1951, and from the United States. He was known for his role in “Jesus Christ Superstar,” as well as his involvement with Black Sabbath. On September 10, 2019, he passed away at 68 years old.

Furthermore, his passing was by his son, Tristan on a Facebook post, he wrote “Yesterday, my dad—Jeff Fenholt—went home to be with the Lord. Like all of us, he was not a perfect man, but he knew the perfect Savior (Jesus) and loved to share the gospel with as many people as possible. His music and ministry touched the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. He truly loved the Lord… and still does. I love you and miss you, Dad! 9/15/1950 — 9/10/2019.”

Curently, the exact cause for his death has not been revealed yet but he was suffering from health Issue and this might be the reason. His death comes a few months after the 50th-anniversary tour of Jesus Christ, Superstar premiered at the Hollywood Pantages Theatre in Los Angeles, earlier this summer.

Jeff Fenholt Career

He completed his education from local High School in Columbus. From a young age, he was involved with several rock bands and performed at various school functions. Fenholt got his first Top 40 hit, (“Billboard Top 100“) recording, “Goin’ Too Far”, with the band The Fifth Order when he was 14.

Later, Jeff Fenholt attended Ohio State University for two years on a music scholarship and later earned his B.A. in music at The School of Bible Theology University in San Jacinto, California.

Jeff was rose to fame for his performance as the title character in the original Broadway theatre adaptation of Jesus Christ Superstar and for his appearance on the cover of Time magazine.

As a singer, he recorded a Disco LP called Smile for CBS and was paid 300,000 dollars. Then, Jeff also recorded for Capitol Records, Universal, Paramount, Polygram, Polydor, Decca, RCA, and was currently recording for Sony.

He was married to his wife named Maureen aka Reeni and has a son named Tristan Fenholt who works as an Executive Pastor at The Rock, Anaheim, and he completed his education from Life Pacific College.

Fenholt, who was known as a Christian evangelist, was a strong supporter of the Trump administration in his final years, and frequently posted on Facebook about his frustrations with issues like the immigration crisis. In one such post, he wrote, “I am sick of all the 3rd world urchins who have come into America and don’t love our country.”
