On September 2, DeNardo released a statement in which he said that Pelosi had been set up in a politically motivated stunt by Kious.

In support to this, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi told to media conference that she fell for setup and owes an apology from Erica Kious, she said: “I take responsibility for trusting the word of the neighborhood salon that I’ve been to, over the years, many times.”

However, this news has spread like a wildfire and reacting to this, on September 2, President Trump reacted in a tweet and he wrote “Crazy Nancy Pelosi is being decimated for having a beauty parlor opened when all others are closed, and for not wearing a Mask – despite constantly lecturing everyone else. We will almost certainly take back the House, and send Nancy packing!.”

Even, Jonathan DeNardo alleged that Kious has been taking appointments and performing styling at her salon since April 2020, he said in a statement that “Ms. Kious is seen on photographs and video footage styling various clients’hair, ignoring social distancing guidelines, and not wearing protective equipment(masks), as recently as a few days before Speaker Pelosi arrived at eSalon on August 31, 2020.”

In a statement issued by his lawyer, hairstylist Jonathan DeNardo appeared to agree with Pelosi’s accusation that her appointment at eSalon on Monday was “a set-up” designed to embarrass the Democrat for allegedly ignoring coronavirus rules, according to reports.

“The fact that Ms. Kious is now objecting to Speaker Pelosi’s presence at eSalon, and from a simple surface-level review of Ms. Kious’ political leanings, it appears Ms. Kious is furthering a set-up of Speaker Pelosi for her own vain aspirations,” the statement issued by lawyer Matthew Soleimanpour said.

According to Soleimanpour, DeNardo worked on Pelosi’s hair after receiving approval from Kious. DeNardo has worked at the establishment for six years and has been in regular communication with the owner, the lawyer said, FoxNews reports.

On another hand, Erica Kious appeared on Tucker Carlson Tonight to say that her actions were not political and rejected the allegation of a “setup,” saying, “There was no way I could’ve set that up. I’ve had a camera system in there for five years. I mean, I didn’t go in there and turn cameras on as soon as she walked in and set her up. So that is absolutely false.”

DeNardo is a native of Pennsylvania and he charges $290 for a full highlight with a haircut that lasts three hours, according to the price list on Square.site.
