Lute also toured with J. Cole on the 4 Your Eyez Only World Tour in 2017 and with JID and EarthGang in 2017.

Lute claims that the Dreamville creator messaged his friend first because he wasn’t following Cole on Twitter and hence couldn’t contact him. After a quick conversation, he was invited to the rapper’s studio in North Carolina, where they instantly clicked.
