According to Ktul.com sheriff’s spokeswoman Amber Southard told that at some point early Sunday evening, hotel security was called because the two men were being disruptive and in the evening, hotel staff called sheriff’s deputies because the men were fighting.

When deputies arrived, they found the police chief dead, she said, and there was no weapon. Miller has been the Mannford police chief since 2007. He is survived by his wife, Amber, and three children.
