During his High School he was transferred to Anaheim High where he picked up and taught himself guitar while walking home from school and back. He is a self-taught guitarist and learned to play the guitar all by himself.

He started his Music career in 2018 and he revealed in his website that once he was approached by the market’s organizers while he was walking by a farmers’ market in downtown Los Angeles and asked if he wanted a gig there. Since that day, a variety of venues have reached out allowing him to perform throughout Southern California.

Nelson Cade III has performed at venues such as The House of Blues in Anaheim and Segerstrom Center of the Arts in Costa Mesa. He performs locally in Orange County at various wine bars and private parties. He also performs at several restaurants and bars in Los Angeles.

On The Voice, he revealed that once he was performing at Skylight Gardens in Los Angeles where the iconic singer showed up and he was asked by Stevie Wonder’s bodyguard if he could play alongside him.

I’ve officially been granted the affirmation that every artist desperately craves. It was just a Friday night doing what I love, then it turned into a night I’ll always remember. After all, was said and done, we sat down and had a nice little chat and he shook my hand and said, “I can’t wait to hear your EP.” I have no words to express how amazing this is. Thank you.”
