According to the source, he passed away peacefully at Maidstone Hospital in Kent and was surrounded by his family. The Hospital staff said during his final time Peter’s wife and three children were present along by his side.

Peter Sissons Career
In 1964, she began working at ITN as Journalist and in the year 1968, he was wounded by a Gunfire while covering the Biafran War and he sustained severe nerve damage in his left leg. Later, he became the ITN’s Industrial Editor, covering many high-profile industrial disputes during the 1970s.
In 1989, Peter left ITN and joined the BBC and took over from Sir Robin Day as the presenter of Question Time. He continued until December 1993, when he was followed by David Dimbleby. Between 1993 and 2003 he was the presenter of the BBC Nine O’Clock News and the BBC Ten O’Clock News.
In 2009, He retired from the BBC and in 2011, Peter published his autobiography When One Door Closes in which he was highly critical of his former employer, the BBC.
